Does sizing between different countries confuse you?
Don’t fret, I can help explain the differences between American and European sizing. Unfortunately, Europe doesn't use just one size chart across the continent. Each country uses different sizing, except for shoes. I am going to explain the differences between the United Kingdom, Italy, and France compared to sizing in the United States. These particular countries are the most popular sizing charts.
Let’s start with shoes, since they are my favorite! In Europe shoe sizing starts with a 35 which corresponds to a US 5 all the way to 41 which corresponds to a US size 11.

Apparel is a little different because you need to know what country the designer is from. If you aren't sure, just google their name and it will tell you right away. France starts sizing at 32 which corresponds to a US 0 all the way to a 46 which is a 14. Italy starts sizing at 36 which corresponds to a US 0 all the way to 50 which is a US 14. Now the United Kingdom is very similar to the US but it starts with a size 4 which corresponds to a US size 0 all the way to and 18 which is a US 14.
