Make A Lasting Impression with Our Evening Wear!
Posted on August 05 2016
Celebrities are not the only ones who can get the fairy godmother treatment and pretend to be Cinderella for a night. Whether you are attending an opening night gala, an opera ball, a charity fundraiser, or a wedding, evening attire—from white tie to black tie to cocktail—is a must, and Mulberry Muse has you covered! Scroll down below for some helpful tips on what to wear for different formal or semi-formal occasions, as well as examples from right off our hangers!
-
Evening attire for women varies, but in general, dresses of silk or satin fabrics and in darker colors appear more formal and are therefore more common at classier events.
-
For white tie, dresses range from below knee to floor, but if the occasion includes a dinner and dance, floor length dresses are the most ideal.
-
Cocktail dresses (hitting below or just shy of the knee) and ball gowns are perfect for a black tie event. And if an invite says "Black Tie Optional," dressy separates can give your legs more movement and reprieve from a dress.
-
If you get cold easily, grab a stole (in a fur or scarf fabric) instead of a jacket or long gloves (but only if your dress is white tie) before you head out the door. Lastly, lose the necklace if it clashes with your long, dangly earrings or the neckline of your dress.
