What to wear to an interview: Tips every woman should know

1. Always dress business formal, no matter what the job is!
Even if you know the company's dress code is lenient. Again, first impressions matter! Business Formal attire consists of the following:
- Blue, gray or navy blue skirt/pantsuit or dress(but wear a jacket)
- A white or light blue button-down shirt tucked in
- Dress shoes (heels below 4 inches)

2. Dress simple, not stylish.
Unless you are interviewing for a fashion-related job, dress simple! An interview is not the time to be bold or take fashion risks... Because let's be honest, some people just don't 'get' fashion. Play it cool and stick to the script.
3. Stay classy, not flashy.
Remember you aren't trying to stunt, you are trying to impress! So it's best to strive for a natural look and to avoid the following:
- bright nail polish
- heavy makeup
- facial piercings
- bulky jewelry

Instead, you should wear/have:
- Your hair in a low ponytail or bun
- Only a watch and a wedding ring (if you have one)
- Clear/neutral color, cut nails
- Only base foundation, concealer, mascara, and a neutral lipstick

4. Save the sexy for later.
You're sexy and you know it! But when dressing for an interview, sexy is not the way to go. Heels should be 4" max and blouses should not be sheer or low-cut. If you have doubts about your skirt being too short, then it's probably too short. Aim for a skirt that rests just below or right above the knee. These skirts should do the job:
